Michael and his friends in the Sandals/Scuffs' room at The Children in the Shoe enjoyed their holiday party yesterday. Here are some great pictures, taken by Gwen.
Michael received a GREAT gift from Yiayia and Papou--a little box filled with wooden tucks, cars, and buses. They are his new favorite toy!
Michael had fun opening presents, eating chocolate gelt, and drinking apple juice from the kiddush cup. He also enjoyed the candles. So cute.
Michael and Emma got together for a play date a few weeks ago. Mama was late in posting the pics. Here they are--how cute are these kids??
Michael is learning more and more words every day. He is regularly using 2-word constructions now and just this week started using the possessive: "Mommy's orange", "Michael's truck". It's adorable. He likes to "count" to 10. He leaves out several numbers but manages to get a few in a row correct. He counts one-two as we walk down the stairs. It's adorable. He's also learning his colors. At first everything was "yellow". Now he's starting to discriminate before answering. And sometimes he even gets it right--especially if it's blue or green.
He was 25th% for weight, 50th% for height and 75th% for head circumference at his last checkup--which was Monday. The doc said he's looking good.
He still loves "Coco" (cookie monster) but now is also very into Oscar the Grouch. We have to bang on EVERY. TRASH CAN. to see if Oscar might be inside!
He's saying Ben's name (the dog). He likes to say "BIG BEN!" He also likes to say that Yiayia is on the phone (when he picks up the phone and pretends to talk).
His sense of humor is really coming out too. He loves to "surprise" us with "boo!"
We had a great visit in Philadelphia! We were so busy having fun that we didn't take very many pictures. But, here are a few.
